It's part of a long, long list of finalists, but my spec script Dead Wrong made the cut for The Movie Deal screenplay contest. It's done well in other contests and you can read the first five pages, which came in 3rd in the Best First Five Pages contest earlier this year, in an earlier post on this blog.
My whole purpose in entering contests is to generate some momentum towards marketing my scripts and getting them read and eventually produced.
So far, step one can be checked off.
